Cookie Policy
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information and improve your experience. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help us provide a better user experience.
When we ask for your consent
If you visit from the European Economic Area (the EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we only set optional analytics and attribution cookies after you click “Accept” in our cookie banner. If you click “Reject”, or do not make a choice, these cookies are not set. If we cannot determine where you are visiting from, we treat your visit as coming from one of these regions.
Visitors from other regions receive these optional cookies by default. You can turn them off at any time by clicking “Reject” in the Cookie Preferences section of this page.
You can change your choice at any time in the Cookie Preferences section of this page, which you can reach from the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of our website. If you click “Reject” or withdraw your consent, we stop loading Microsoft Clarity and delete the ef_first_touch and user_tracking_data cookies, the ef_anon_id entry in your browser’s local storage, and Clarity’s _clck and _clsk cookies from your browser. Cookies that Microsoft sets on its own domains (listed below) cannot be deleted by our website; you can remove them in your browser settings.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work and are always set:
- Authentication cookies: keep you signed in and protect your session.
- Google sign-in: if you are not signed in, we show a “Sign in with Google” prompt (Google One Tap), which loads Google’s sign-in script from accounts.google.com. Google may receive your IP address and use its own cookies to show the prompt, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- cookieConsent: stores your Accept or Reject choice for 180 days. After 180 days we ask you again.
- ef_consent_region: a session cookie that records only whether consent is required in your region, based on the country our network provider (Cloudflare) derives from your IP address.
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your language choice.
Optional cookies (analytics and attribution)
- Microsoft Clarity (_clck for up to 1 year, _clsk for 1 day): Clarity’s own cookies, set on our website. They help us understand how visitors use the website, for example clicks, scrolling and page navigation. When Clarity loads, we tell Clarity that consent for advertising storage is denied and consent for analytics storage is granted. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We have turned off Clarity’s sharing of data with Microsoft Advertising.
- Cookies set by Microsoft when Clarity loads (MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK, CLID, SRM_B): set by Microsoft through clarity.ms and bing.com, not by our website. Microsoft uses them for the Clarity service and to recognise visitors and sessions. They are only set when Clarity loads. Rejecting stops new ones from being set, but existing ones stay until they expire or you clear them.
- ef_first_touch (90 days): records the page where you first arrived on our website, the website that referred you, any campaign (UTM) parameters, and the time of that first visit. If you create an account, this information is stored with your account so we can understand which channels bring us new users.
- user_tracking_data (30 days): stores campaign parameters, basic device information (such as screen size, language and time zone) and any referral code from a referral link, and is read when you sign up. For visitors from the regions listed above, this cookie, including the referral code, is only set after you click “Accept”; if you reject optional cookies, a referral link may not be credited to the person who shared it.
- ef_anon_id (stored in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie, until it is deleted): a random identifier that keeps you in the same group when we test different versions of a page (A/B testing). It is only saved when optional cookies are allowed; for visitors from the regions listed above, only after you click “Accept”.
You can control or delete cookies by changing your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect your experience on our website.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you discover that we may have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us, and we will promptly take steps to delete that information.
International Data Transfers
We may process and store your personal information globally, including in countries outside your country of residence. In such cases, we will take appropriate measures to ensure your personal information receives adequate protection.
Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will post the revised policy on our website and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
